Carla Aubry
I obtained my Pilates Apparatus Certification in 2018, but my connection to Pilates began long before that through my own recovery journey. Following a back injury, Pilates became an essential part of both my physical rehabilitation and mental recovery. At a time when I had lost confidence in my body’s ability to move and perform the activities I loved, Pilates provided a safe, progressive, and effective path back to strength, function, and confidence.
What began as a tool for recovery evolved into a lifelong practice and a passion for helping others discover the benefits of mindful movement. Through Pilates, I regained the confidence to return to the activities that bring me joy, whether that’s cycling, hiking, strength training, dancing, or simply moving through daily life with greater ease and less discomfort.
One of the reasons I am so passionate about Pilates is its versatility. Pilates is not just a workout—it’s a movement system that can complement virtually any activity, sport, rehabilitation program, or fitness routine. Whether you’re an athlete looking to improve performance, a weekend warrior hoping to stay active, someone recovering from injury, or an individual seeking better balance, mobility, and strength for everyday life, Pilates can help support your goals.
By emphasizing core strength, postural alignment, mobility, body awareness, coordination, and efficient movement patterns, Pilates helps create a strong foundation for movement. Many clients find that Pilates enhances their performance in other activities while also helping them reduce aches and pains, improve movement quality, and build resilience against future injuries.
My approach combines the principles of Pilates with an understanding that every body is unique. I strive to create an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and individualized, where clients feel empowered to move confidently regardless of age, fitness level, injury history, or experience.
I firmly believe that Pilates is for everybody and every body. Whether your goal is rehabilitation, improved athletic performance, enhanced quality of life, or simply feeling stronger and more comfortable in your own body, Pilates can be adapted to meet your needs.
I am honored to be part of United Movement’s collaborative approach to health and wellness.
